French wildlife - sea creatures

Across the french coast, there is much marin life to be observed the most common are dolphins, but there are also sharks and jellyfish.
St-cyprian had 3 dolphins very close to the beaches just this past month (july 2007), not much is known about french marin life, but there has been amazing visits over the years, in 2006 a leatherback turtle was the first marin turtle in over 20 years to lay eggs on a french beach, near Marseilles.
